Happy Mother’s Day! <3
As everyone knows, today is Mother’s Day. As everyone also knows, I adore my mom. She has always been the strongest, most compassionate, loveliest woman I know. She never doubts us, and she has raised us to think for ourselves, stand up for ourselves, and love ourselves. She was always the guiding light along even the darkest of paths, making sure we made it safe to the other side. She’s the definition of a Goddess to me, and I’m so proud that she’s mine.
Sadly, I know there are people out there today that can’t be with their mothers—whether she’s no longer here except in spirit, or maybe she’s estranged, which surely hurts just as much. My heart goes out to those friends that have to live with that loss every day. For those of you that maybe aren’t as close to your moms for whatever reason, just try not to take her for granted. There are people that would envy you, even if you think your relationship isn’t necessarily the most glamorous, functional thing.
That’s all I’m gonna say before I get too emotional. Love to all. <3

There’s only one person in the world who calls me Voodoo. Who knew that a nickname being screamed across the yard would make me so happy? Welcome home, Kyle!! I’m not really sure what I’ve done without you this past school year. Here’s to many adventures this summer! <3

Birthdays + Beltane
Well, I’m not quite 20 yet (I still have to get through one more day of being a teenager), but my twin and I were astounded to find a surprise birthday party waiting for us last night. Let me just say, it was ingenious. We had it at my parents’ house, and somehow Page and my brother’s girlfriend managed to get us into the driveway at roughly the same time, and devised the perfect strategy for getting us into the house at the exact same moment. Freaking brilliant. (Audrey, if you’re reading this, just know that I admire your wickedly clever skills and I aspire to be like you one day.)
All of our friends and our whole extended family were there, and it was wonderful. I think the biggest reason it shocked us so much was because we had actually thrown a surprise party for our friend Ev the weekend before. So basically…all of us have been planning surprise parties for each other. Who thinks of this stuff?
All that aside, it’s been the perfect weekend. Friends, family, great food, amazing gifts, no work, lovely weather, laying around with the boyfriend, and allowing myself to do absolutely nothing unless I feel like it. I’m sensing that there’s a great week ahead, even if it includes finals. But hey, that means school is almost out.
Also, since we’re Beltane Eve babies, it’d only be fitting to wish everyone a great Sabbat. Hopefully everyone has some beautiful plans to celebrate. I know I have a few things up my sleeve. Blessed be! )O(
